Being girly

A gorgeous sunny day so why not show off my new outfit from yesterday? The spotty playsuit is from Urban outfitters (sale as well) and the felt hat is New look. I particularly adore the maroon colour of the hat. I have had the cardigan a while which is from T.k max and the pumps are some really tatty, old things from Topshop, a good few years ago;

Little treasures

ooo so where can I start!?! I Had a lovely day out today in liverpool. A one off chance where I got to spend the whole entire day wandering the shops. I didn't particularly set out to buy anything but I sure didn't come home empty handed. Nothing more than £40 in total either.....
This gorgeous locket necklace I found in a quirky store called Ollie and Nic...was only £7 as well. It's a dirty gold colour (My favourite);
I have craved a felt hat for months!! My wish has finally come true. Having been eyeing up the American Apparel hat at £32, I was very pleased to come across this New look charm in a gorgeous maroon colour. My favourite purchase of the day!!
This silver and green ring was from Urban Outfitters, in the sale as well. I haven't actually bought any Jewellery for a long time. Today definitely made up for that fact.

Peruvian exquisites and diddy cupcakes

Just been to a peruvian evening full of divine Jewellery and woollen essentials. I really wanted to buy one of their silver rings with a gorgeous gothic, purple stone...however they were £30 so I think I will just have to wait until christmas. I did manage to wangle this gorgeous charcoal scarf (perfect for winter) made from 100 % alpaca wool. It's the perfect length, very lightweight and extremely fluffy.

I have to admit I definitely prefer summer weather but I prefer winter clothing...I have so much more fun with layering and I love the colours.

Here is the little beauty anyway, seriously can't wait until I can start wearing it;

These cupcakes were on display....I just couldn't resist. Why is is that whenever I make cupcakes, the icing never ever looks like this?

cosy; warm and snug

Busy Busy Busy

Pretty worn out.... but the past week was very much worth it! Started off with a trip to Blackpool Pleasure beach where I came home with no voice from all the screaming of sheer fear for my life...considering most of the rides are from the 40s and 60s! Nothing quite like it though. We wanted to end the day walking along the pier with some fish and chips but it was more like a brisk-walk and then some snacks from the spar.

Dream Theater played the o2 Academy in Leeds which was pretty epic! The smaller gigs never let you down and the atmosphere was chilled and inspiring.

There was some lovely food this weekend, including some pasta at la Zizzi and some sardines on the BBQ with perfect company.

Platforms and feathers

It was a very over-due trip to the Trafford Centre yesterday, which meant sales, sales and even more sales. I would actually be more than happy if I don't come across any more sales for at least a good few months. It was just not my day for shopping, I found lots of lovely little items, except nothing was ever in my size or was shredded to bits and not even worth that £10. Anyway, I did happen to come across some black brogues which I'm sporting in these pictures;

The shoes (a substitute for some creepers which I had my eye on) were a bargain from Miss Selfridge. I saw them when they first came out at £50 and surprisingly forgot about them for a while, until they re-appeared in my life yesterday, and for only £20. They are hardly a match for creepers, but certainly a contender, and are great because they make me that little bit taller.

The fringed top is from New Look and I snapped up the necklace from my mum when she was having a clear out. Gotta love the shoes though?

Ye old Victorian

I have just purchased a new pal, in the version of a playsuit, which I was lucky to find in the sales. A navy colour with a pink pattern and girly bow belt! Both from Topshop.

The Victorian boots are second hand from Ebay. I haven't had the pleasure of wearing them much yet, but as soon as the cold weather appears, they will not be coming off my feet.

I have been awake for almost three days, well feels like it anyway. After completing my work experience in Stamford Street, I finally got home and then started a new job, locally. The extra cash will come useful with all these lovely purchases I have been making. Have no clue when this uni work will magically disappear though.

For now Scott Pilgrim vs the world on a rainy sunday afternoon...

End of an era

My placement in London had to come to an end sometime....however I was excited at the thought of being home once again. My past two weeks in london have been productive, relaxed, inspiring, fast-paced and memorable. Definitely a worth while placement!

I was lucky enough to get the chance to work on a variation of projects, however my main job role was getting in touch with pr teams to enquire about product imagery and competitions. I also got to work with the film production editor to source some location shoots and also submit some small articles on subjects, such as new restaurants, stores and gadgets, to the magazine's editor.

For now....I had to say goodbye to commuting.

Being a massive fan of london, I was shocked why I had never been to Canary Wharf before, reminding me of a bigger version of Salford quays with more shops and restaurants. I will be returning there in the very near future for sure...

Kirsty Ward

Kirsty Ward's collection is my new fantasy..... her defined structures and powerful embellishment have received very high praise. I think its the genius merging of jewellery and clothing with varied and unexpected materials. A very eclectic designer who is definitely one to watch!

BBQ time.... Hope everyone is enjoying their summer extravaganzas just as much as I am.

Oh how delightful

A spot of journalism...
British tea at it’s most satisfying and healthiest….
Ever felt how unfair it is that the tastiest foods are the worst for your health? Well the Metropolitan hotel, located in London, has a new menu of indulgent, yet healthy treats that you can share with your friends. The delightful cupcakes, fruit scones and sandwiches are made using a range of sensible alternatives, including low fat crème fraiche, olive oil and various organic produce. Thanks to an added touch of swanky style, this is the new teatime trend that is completely guilt free. Also happens to be perfect for birthdays.
