A little poem about marriage...

So the wedding preparations begin--
A good 12 months ahead
Where the theme could be romantic,
With bridesmaids in rose red.

Time to start choosing those guests,
And it's 5 months along the line,
Where the choice of caterer,
Depends on fish and chips or rose wine.

The day of the final gown fitting--
Some what of now 2 months ahead,
The dress will make you stand out,
But the bride to be is a bit brain dead.

The 2 week period soon crops up,
Ensure to book your stylist,
Looking pristine on your day,
Be sure to outshine the finest.

And it's 1 week until the big day,
You will be running around all stressed out,
But it's at the bridesmaids' luncheon,
You will be laughing throughout.

And the 1 day countdown begins,
Where it takes work to make you look that good--
So after the rehearsal dinner,
Relax, as one beautiful bride should.

The countdown is finally over,
The bride is looking lovely as can be,
You look breathtaking with a glowing white gown,
Your hair and make-up, done up perfectly.

Breathe! Enjoy your day
Don't think about the dreaded tripping down the aisle--
Congratulations!
The scary bit is over, you can now smile!

Trentham estate

Little jaunt out on a wednesday afternoon to Trentham estate near stoke. Never been before but have to say....was a lovely day out. Full of greenery, flowers, lakes, architecture and fluffy animals which I could have quite easily have sneaked in my handbag.
This chocolate 99 sure did set me up for the day. However when I finally got to the bottom of the cup, I literally couldn't drink anymore....as I was slightly overloaded with sweetness.

I even sported my new vans today....burgunday corduroy which I'm in love with. Never actually owned any before now. One question I keep asking myself......why the hell not?

Curious; exciting speculation, interest, or attention through being inexplicable or highly unusual; odd; strange: curious sort of person; a curious scene.

Victorian Boots

My new goal: Purchase some lovely victorian boots for winter;

melodramatic; exaggerated and emotional or sentimental; sensational or sensationalized; overdramatic.

Miss Brewster

Love this gal....using her as inspiration for a styling project during summer! Pretty damn excited actually.

Cultural times

Half way between moving from my student accommodation to a new house, with the help from my parents, we spent the day popping into numerous towns for a break and to make the most of the visit down. Our first stop was at Margate where we visited The Turner gallery and, although minuscule, there were a few interesting pieces;

"The love of nature is the same passion as the love of the beautiful and the sublime"
Humphry Davy, 1807

You could say that the weather was "typically British" in Margate, so we headed onto Canterbury to try and escape it. I always seem to find the nicest shops, just at closing hours....possibly a strategy of my dad's?.....As he knows me and mum are too predictable.
The Cathedral was pretty spectacular and I couldn't help being fascinated with this old-style Ice cream stall.....There was also a lovely 'Ask' meal involved as well. (A great end to a great day)

productive; having the power of producing generative; creative: productive effort.

Eurotrip

I will get straight to the point. BEST! ROAD! TRIP! EVER! It went Manchester...Rochester...Dover...Champagen...Luxembourg...Nurburgring (Rock Am Festival)...Bonn...Berlin...Amsterdam. Literally had the time of my life and never wanted it to come to an end. It will be a long lasting memory for the rest of my life.

I found a new love for the sweet sweet german beer....Bitburger (Radler)
