Fuschia

Being a lover of Ben Sherman, and already owning 3 of their polo shirts, I was really thrilled to find a bargain Fuchsia coloured one at just £8. The polo shirts literally go with everything and to be honest I haven't stopped wearing my new addition to the Ben Sherman family since I bought it at Cheshire Oaks.

Today I paired the polo with some newish flower printed shorts from Topshop which I'm pretty certain will be my favourite item throughout summer.

summer daze

I seem to become literally obsessed and this little 5 year old suddenly appears when I come across anything cute and small. So it wasn't a surprise that I acted like a kid at disneyland when me and the boy spent the day at Chester Zoo, especially with a few new additions since I had last been, including a couple of months old brother and sister Elephant and a baby orangutang.

Although, a slight chill in the air, it was evident that summer was just around the corner, so me being the 'one moment wish kinda gal' packed up a picnic for the day, hoping we could enjoy it outside, however we ended up nomming it in the restaurant with a popular hot chocolate.

I made another picnic, the next day in the hope to actually enjoy it outside this time. I was happy as it was successful. Wanting to make the most of every second of this weekend, Lyme Park was the perfect way to do so. Full of picnics, cutesy animals, badminton, snap shots, home videos, picturesque blossom, hugs, hot chocolate and films....this weekend was the definite start to summer.

As well as being a perfect weekend.....I got the chance to show off my new summer dress :) Taking me ages to decide between the cream or the red, I went with my initial choice of the cream. This Oasis green mac (sale purchase I might add) was an excellent accompaniment.

lace. spots. frills.

I've spent my day browsing around numerous vintage stalls, showcasing clothes, shoes, accessories, trinkets and odds and ends which have absolutely no purpose other than to be aesthetically pleasing to one's eye. The Vintage Fashion Fair, located in Wilmslow's leisure centre, was an aladdin's cave with stall after stall, slightly overwhelming at the first site but then became increasingly intriguing.

It took me a few circular trips around the cluttered yet quite exquisite stalls, to come across the perfect, dainty handbag. This little one was mine for only £10 and I was lucky enough to find this delicate scarf for just £1. Bargain. And both in almost immaculate condition.

So after a well deserved lunch, I fancied a spot of baking. And this is what I came up with. Fairy cupcakes, complete with a light sprinkling of fairy dust. Simple yet delicious and the perfect accompaniment with an afternoon tea or hot chocolate. Baking is definitely the way for a little home sweet home remedy and sunday afternoon blues?

And of course, cupcakes are always best displayed on a traditional, glass cake stand (Preferably antique) and as girly as possible, frilly doilies and all.

Turning 21...

Why hello there!
So I am now the grand age of 21 and I had the funniest and loveliest of birthdays which was spent shopping, bowling and then wining and dining at prezzo, having the company of my family and my boy. It was perfect spending my birthday back at home sweet home in Manchester and then I now have the pleasure interning with French Connection with the visual merchandising team.

I was one very lucky lady.....

So this is what I've been up to so far this week working with French Connection, mainly at the store in Manchester but also in the Trafford Centre concessions which has been really enjoyable and I've still got a week to go and I'm determined to make an impression with them.
