Valentines weekend

I have never been one to kick up a fuss over Valentines day but I have to say that the weekend visit from my boy was perfect (sorry to be such a soppy). First of all he greeted me at the station with my favourite flowers (orchids) and then we spent a lovely afternoon in Rochester where we nommed on cupcakes, hot chocolate and trawled through the antique shops.

We spent the day in london on saturday, popping on and off the tube to Oxford street/Regent street, where I purchased these delicious shorts from miss selfridge, carnaby street, piccadilly circus, trafalgar square and finally ending the night with a hand massage from the shop assistant in 'lush cosmetics' and watching a 'heterosexual' street performer clamber onto a respectful, male volunteer, juggling a chainsaw in boxers. (oh the joy of free entertainment).

So....rainforest cafe was our original plan for an evening meal and annoyingly took a while to find due to me making the mistake that piccadilly circus was in fact trafalgar square. My excuse is that I don't live in london, just pretty close. Anyway varying from £13 to £20 for a main meal was pretty much out of the question since we had already spent a fair few bob on sweets. So I made the suggestion of Bella Italia which I had been to before and knew was nice (even nicer when the 2for1 vouchers are valid) and turned out to be correct. Lovely italian food, great service, cosy environment and fairly priced, we both came out of the restaurant very satisfied.

The train journey back to Rochester from London Victoria was an odd one at that. With the pleasant company of milk, cordial and a snoring human who luckily woke up before his stop we had some fun taking random pictures. At this point I felt very happy as the day was amazing and rather ready for my bed/ watching Armageddon (epic film).

Sunday, the day/afternoon of rest was spent nomming yet again on hot chocolates and sweets and a rather lovely salmon and creme cheese sandwich.
Until next time....

The Inaccurate Truth

I really couldn't decide on what to wear tonight for 'The Inaccurate Truth' exhibition at UCA for Fashion promotion as I didn't want to go over the top and didn't want to go too casual. So this is the outfit I decided on. Ive had this Topshop playsuit for quite a while now but haven't worn it nearly as much as I should have. The bag is a charity shop purchase and the shoes are Marks and Spencer, Autograph and happen to be rather comfortable, well as comfortable as high heels can get.

The exhibition is based on the year 1 styled images with inspiration from music icons and the photographer Richard Avedon. All in all should be a very enjoyable night, I will post about the event as soon as possible.
